From Korean Draft C to the First Single — Matching the Draft and the Sung Lyrics of "good morning, world" Line by Line

ipe()'s first single, "good morning, world", is a Korean draft (code name C) rewritten as English-led with Korean accents. Using the creation log, we lay the draft against the sung lyrics line by line to see what stayed and what changed.

"good morning, world" is the first single ipe() put out (U-001). The song has two sets of lyrics. One is the Korean draft. The other is the lyric that was actually entered into the music tool: English-led, with Korean mixed in here and there. The creation log kept both, so we can lay them side by side line by line and see what stayed and what changed. This post is that comparison.

First, the scope. What we read: the song's draft document, the creation log, part of a subtitle file for the Korean version, and the release document. We do not describe how anything sounds from listening, and values in the log are inputs, not what the recording sounds like. For why something was changed we pass on only what the log says and do not guess at the rest. And, as always: the music is produced with AI (Suno). Lyrics are AI-drafted and reviewed by a person.

The starting point on record

The log names the starting point in one line: Korean draft C, the same title "good morning, world", a theme of a developer's day and hope. It is the main-title song of the series undefined → known, and the memo in the draft document says only "bright, hopeful tone, main-title track candidate." The series as a whole is covered in the six series of idle().

The "direct edits" section of the log lists three changes.

  • It was rewritten from Korean-led to English-led with Korean accents. The structure was reorganised into something calm for focus, with the vocal weighted toward the Chorus and the Verses kept soft.
  • The reasons given: to aim at developers worldwide with English as the main sung language, and, so as not to lose the Korean feeling, to insert "괜찮아 / 천천히 가도 돼 / 다 잘될 거야 / 다시 또" as accents.
  • The brand's // comment lines are left out of the sung lyric and kept only in the subtitle/display version.

Those three lines are the key to reading the comparison below.

Matching them line by line

Here is the draft and the sung lyric, section by section. The English lines are copied from the "lyrics entered" part of the log.

What stayed

Verse 1 and Verse 2 have the same number of lines in the same order as the draft. Four lines became four lines, and the props are all still there: yesterday's bugs, coffee and sunlight, green and reset, a new file, not being perfect, a slow step, one commit. The shoulders and the wind of the Pre-Chorus are the same. The skeleton of the song, a developer leaving the bugs behind in the morning, was translated, not changed.

The key lines of the Bridge and Outro also hold. "쉬어가도 길은 사라지지 않아" became "the road won't vanish if you pause", "process는 쉬고, 너는 빛나" became "the process rests, and you shine", and "there's light in the loop" is English in both.

The Korean that stayed as accents

The four phrases the log names as accents, 괜찮아, 천천히 가도 돼, 다 잘될 거야 and 다시 또, are all still in Korean in the sung lyric. Their positions match the log's description too: they sit at the end of three Chorus lines and the last line of the Bridge, where an English sentence turns into Korean once. Many Korean lines of the draft crossed over into English, and these four phrases are what stayed Korean. The log's only stated basis for choosing them is "so as not to lose the Korean feeling", and we say nothing beyond that.

What changed and what vanished

Five changes stand out.

  • The Intro got shorter. The draft followed print("good morning, world") with "오늘은 조금 다를 거야" ("today will be a little different"). The sung Intro is a single line, "good morning, world", almost whispered.
  • The "we" in the Chorus is gone. The draft's first Chorus line was "오늘도 우린 괜찮아" ("we're okay today too"); in the sung lyric only "괜찮아" remains. In its place // you are enough came into the Chorus as the sentence "you are enough, just as you are". The draft has one "우린" in its Chorus, and the sung lyric has no word that means "we". The log does not explain this change.
  • **// was handled in two ways.** The log says comment lines are left out of the sung lyric. In practice // you are enough and // rest, then run lost only the // and the sentences went into the song. What dropped out was the symbol; only ipe(); // smile disappeared line and all. The // comes back in the subtitle/display version.
  • "가볍게 가자" ("let's go lightly") vanished. It followed "다 잘될 거야" in the draft's last Chorus line. Set against the theme field of the draft document, "hope (a little upbeat)", the upbeat phrase was among the first to shrink, but whether that was intended is not in the log.
  • The last line returns to the first. The sung Outro ends on "good morning, world". It is not in the draft, and it is the same sentence as the whispered Intro. The song opens and closes on the same greeting.

One small difference as well. The last line of Verse 2 is "내일의 나에게 건네는 선물", a gift to tomorrow's me, in the draft, and "a quiet gift for the morning me" in the sung lyric. The recipient moved from tomorrow's me to the morning me. The song is one scene, a morning on which yesterday's bug is left behind; where the draft's gift pointed toward tomorrow, the sung lyric closes inside that morning.

How the Korean version is sung

The same song has a separate Korean male-vocal version. The log lists the English version with soft warm vocals and the Korean version with a male, Korean setting. In the part of the Korean version's subtitle file we opened (a section starting at the end of the Chorus), the last two Chorus lines (including the draft's "가볍게 가자", which is still there), Verse 2 and the two Bridge lines match the draft character for character, and the last two lines are "process는 쉬고, 너는 빛나" and "there's light in the loop". So this file shows that the Korean version is closer to the draft than to a Korean rendering of the sung lyric. Because the file starts at the last Chorus line, this post could not check the earlier sections.

The English version's vocal setting has one trace of editing. The log says that on 2026-06-28 the style input "soft female vocals" was changed to "soft warm vocals", regenerated, and the result adopted. The reason is not recorded. The later rule on dividing English and Korean vocals is in English-led female, Korean-led male.

Three dates

The dates in the log point at different events, so we list them apart.

  • 2026-06-28: the working day and the day the audio was generated, and the day it went public on YouTube (both English and Korean versions).
  • 2026-07-20: the official release on streaming platforms through a distribution service (per the release document).

The order is YouTube first on June 28, then streaming release on July 20. The release document's metadata marks the song as AI-generated music: yes.

What is not on record

A list of what this post deliberately does not say.

  • Why "우린" was dropped, why "가볍게 가자" and ipe(); // smile were dropped, and why the first line was repeated at the end of the Outro.
  • How the English version sounds. The style input in the log (slow tempo, Rhodes piano and so on) is what was entered, not the result.
  • The earlier part of the Korean version's subtitle file. The file we opened starts at the last Chorus line.
  • Whether later songs inherited this song's structure. This post only compares this one first single.
